It took a long time, but Pakistani film appears to have been resurrected, and fans can expect to be treated to superb entertainment, particularly on the big screen. With the world seems to be returning to normal, a slew of Pakistani films are set to visit theaters. A new edition titled Abhi joins the huge list of films we can’t wait to see. Kubra Khan has released a teaser video for her upcoming film, in which she will star alongside Mumtaz Gohar.
Gohar Mumtaz, who is also the producer, came up with the idea for Abhi. Set amid the breathtaking vistas of Pakistan’s northern regions, we get a peek of the main characters, each of them has a unique viewpoint on life. Mumtaz, a musician, believes in second chances, while Khan believes in living in the moment. Their paths naturally meet, and they share some amorous times until something goes awry.
The teaser does not reveal much about how and why things go awry, preferring to retain mystery and suspense through glimpses of various events. We see the military in action, as well as action sequences, shady personalities, and sadness. We’ll have to wait and see how all of these pieces fall into place.
We do know that Kubra Khan and Gohar Mumtaz’s forthcoming film will have an impressive soundtrack. With stars like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Aima Baig, Mumtaz himself, and the Leo Twins on board, it will be fascinating to see how the film, as well as the songs, turn out.
Although no release date has been set, we are eagerly looking forward to it!
